The Rose Opens Up About Their World Tour And Future Goals

After making their recent comeback, The Rose talked about their world tour and future aspirations.

On October 4, the band released their second mini album “Dawn.” They plan on holding a series of European and Japanese tours after their promotional activities.

Jaehyung said, “Everyone worked hard to meet the release date of the album. We wanted to showcase a new song, and we couldn’t work in one place, so we had to move around countries while working on it.”

All four members have participated in producing songs since their debut. The Rose shared, “[Sometimes] it starts with one person’s ideas and [other times] it develops from everyone’s stories. We usually go about it by asking for each other’s agreement. [The process] may be slow, but we can’t give it up because we always end up with music that we’re satisfied with.”

Woosung added, “Each of us may be more interested in our own music. The styles are different. However, it’s only been a year since our debut, and we think showing The Rose’s colors comes first.”

In less than a year since their debut, The Rose has been on a world tour from Europe to South America. Hajoon said, “Physically we’re tired, but mentally we’re happy. Once we get a taste of the stage, we fall in love with it.” Woosung agreed, saying, “Everyone was sick from the long flights. But when we got on stage, we all experienced the magic of the pain disappearing.”

Dojoon shared, “A lot more people came to see our performance than expected. They first heard of our music on YouTube, and the response led to the tour. We feel lucky, and we’ve been helped by many people. I am still amazed and grateful. It was a wonderful experience for us.”

Now, The Rose’s next goal is to increase their recognition and actively promote in Korea. Woosung explained, “Our fans call us singers who visit Korea. We are very sorry to our fans in Korea. It was regrettable that we focused on foreign [activities] in an untimely [manner]. Now we want to raise recognition in Korea and be closer [to our fans].”

The Rose continued “The initial goal [of holding a world tour] has been achieved and we are touring overseas. Now we want to achieve our goal of receiving a Grammy award. We want to be a band loved by everyone through music and rise on a bigger stage. We’d like to pay back the people who love us while making a long run without any haste.”

Although they spent most of their year abroad, they did not get to spend any individual time in the foreign countries they visited. The Rose shared, “We want go on a trip by ourselves. We felt burdened even during our break time because we were performing when we went abroad. We want to either travel to Belgium or England.”

“The Rose” recently released the music video for their title track “She’s in the Rain.”
