Sulli Reveals Initial Reaction To Her Stage Name
Sulli has responded to another teaser from her upcoming reality show “Jinri Market” (literal translation)!
On October 16, Sulli posted the latest teaser for the program on her Instagram. In the clip, she talks about her stage name as she gets her hair done, saying, “In the beginning, I had to unwillingly use the name ‘Sulli.'” She makes a dissatisfied face as she exclaims, “I really didn’t like it! When my family or close friends would call me ‘Sulli,’ I’d ask them, ‘Why are you calling me Sulli?’ It’s a long story.” Sulli’s given name is Choi Jinri.
In response to the clip, Sulli added a caption that jokingly said, “Evil editing? [Laugh] I only disliked it in the beginning.”
Sulli previously talked about her personal struggles in another teaser for the show.
“Jinri Market” will follow the journey of Sulli as the CEO of a pop-up store. It is produced by SM CCC Lab, and directed by producer Kim Ji Wook.
Sulli entered the entertainment industry in 2005 through the SBS drama “Ballad of Seodong.” After making her girl group debut with f(x) in 2009 and later leaving the group in 2015, Sulli has been promoting as an actress. She last appeared in the film “Real” alongside actor Kim Soo Hyun.
