Yuri Talks About Her Affection For Girls' Generation And Growing Old Together
Girls’ Generation’s Yuri recently shot a pictorial for fashion magazine Singles’ November issue.
In the accompanying interview, she talked about establishing her own identity as a solo artist with her first album “The First Scene.” “My title track ‘Into You‘ is a daring song. The title is very blunt. I fell in love with the sensuous vibe the moment I heard it. It’s the first song I chose for the album.”
She went on, “I want to show that I can broaden my spectrum as a solo artist. Rather than being recognized as someone who is amazingly talented, I want people to enjoy what I enjoy making. They say that your happiness can be someone else’s happiness, and I think that’s the highest form of acknowledgement you can have.”
About her MBC variety drama character, Bok Seung Ah, she said, “She’s a total rookie in the job market, but she has a lot of curiosity. I heard that the director made the character in her image, and there are definitely a lot of similarities. I want to portray her lovableness, so I’ve been watching the director closely.”
Finally, she shared her affection for her fellow Girls’ Generation members. “Girls’ Generation is like a house to me. When it gets tough outside, it’s like going home. I get a warm welcome every time. I’m looking forward to what we’ll be like way off in the future when we turn 40.”
