IU Opens Up About Feeling Happier About Herself Just The Way She Is These Days

IU spoke about how content she feels about herself while talking to the cast of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything.”

The latest episode of “Ask Us Anything” aired on October 20 and featured guest appearances by Lee Joon Gi and IU. During their conversations, Kang Ho Dong asked IU, “We really like IU, but does IU like IU?”

IU looked pleasantly surprised by the question as she said, “I think that’s a great question. I didn’t think I would get such a philosophical question.” She began to answer the question by saying, “To be honest, I didn’t like myself that much for a long time. There were a lot of things about myself that I wasn’t happy about.”

She then went on to say, “But these days, I really like myself. It’s not that I think, ‘I like myself so much! I’m the best!’ but if I was ever reborn to live a second life, I’d want to be born as me again.” IU happily said, “There’s no one I’m envious of right now. I think I’m satisfied with myself, just the way I am.”
