Lay was also featured in an article on Billboard’s online site about his new music video for “NAMANANA.” The article gave a detailed description of the track, writing, “The title track off of his first U.S. album of the same name ‘NAMANANA’ is a chant and whistle-filled dance track reveling in vibrant percussion and groovy horns, all while Lay sings about making it at the top.”
There was much anticipation for this album as it is Lay’s third solo album and his U.S. debut. Lay also reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Social 50 chart and sold 370,000 copies during pre-orders of digital copies on one of China’s largest music streaming service QQ Music.
