WJSN's Yeonjung Announces Temporary Break From Activities Due To Health

WJSN (Cosmic Girls)’s Yeonjung will be taking a temporary break from all activities due to health concerns.

On October 20, Starship Entertainment released a statement announcing that Yeonjung would not be participating in the group’s upcoming activities due to exhaustion, low blood pressure, and hypoglycemia.

The agency wrote, “WJSN’s Yeonjung, who was planning to participate in [the group’s] scheduled appearances at SBS’s ‘Inkigayo‘ and SBS’s Hwaseong radio special today, suddenly felt ill and was taken to the hospital, where she was examined.

“The results of her examination indicated that she was suffering from physical exhaustion, hypoglycemia, and low blood pressure, and she received treatment for her symptoms. Her condition has improved, and she is currently resting.”

“Yeonjung personally expressed a strong desire to join the fans who had been looking forward to seeing her,” continued the agency. “However, we are letting you know that she will be unable to participate in her planned activities, as they could overstrain her. We ask for your understanding.”

Starship Entertainment concluded, “We will strive to make it possible for her to greet you in good health. We’re sorry to have given you cause for concern.”
