Kim Ji Suk To Take Temporary Hiatus From 'Problematic Men' To Film New Drama With Jun So Min

Actor Kim Ji Suk has announced that he will be temporarily leaving the tvN variety show “Problematic Men.”

On the October 23 episode of the show, Jun Hyun Moo regretfully reported that Kim Ji Suk, one of the program’s six original cast members, would not be appearing on the show again in the near future. He announced, “Kim Ji Suk is briefly leaving ‘Problematic Men.'”

Kim Ji Suk went on to explain, “I’m beginning to film a new drama called ‘Top Star Yoo Baek’ [literal title]. It takes six hours by car and then another hour and a half by boat to get to Wando, [where the drama is being shot]. So it’s difficult for me to participate in the filming [of ‘Problematic Men’] every week.”

Jun Hyun Moo jokingly replied, “You better not get caught filming in Seoul.”

He then asked Kim Ji Suk, “Will you be returning once ‘Top Star Yoo Baek’ is over?” The actor immediately confirmed, “Of course I’ll come back.”

“Top Star Yoo Baek” is an upcoming tvN romantic comedy drama that will star Kim Ji Suk as Yoo Baek, a narcissistic former idol and A-list actor who is banished to a remote island after causing some major trouble. While struggling to adapt to his new surroundings, he eventually strikes up a romance with a tough, hardworking islander (played by Jun So Min), with whom he has very little in common.

The drama is scheduled to premiere on November 16 at 11 p.m. KST. In the meantime, you can check out the teaser for “Top Star Yoo Baek” here!
