IZ*ONE Sets New Record For First Week Sales Among Girl Group Debut Albums In A Day
IZ*ONE is off to a fantastic start!
The resulting project group from “Produce 48” dropped their very first mini album “COLOR*IZ” on October 29 at 6 p.m. KST.
Their title track “La Vie en Rose” debuted notably high on digital music charts, and as of 9 a.m. KST, continues to be within the top 10 of almost all major realtime charts, including Genie, Bugs, Mnet, Naver, and Soribada.
According to Hanteo Chart, “COLOR*IZ” is also seeing great results in physical sales. In its first day of release, the album recorded over 34,000 units sold.
This is a new record for the highest number of albums sold on the first day of a girl group’s debut album’s release. It also impressively surpassed I.O.I’s debut album “Chrysalis” for the highest number of sales in the first week as a girl group debut album, as “Chrysalis” held the record at approximately 28,400 units.
Congratulations IZ*ONE!
