BLACKPINK Becomes Fastest K-Pop Group To Hit 450 Million Views With "DDU-DU DDU-DU"
BLACKPINK has smashed another YouTube record with their music video for “DDU-DU DDU-DU”!
On October 31, BLACKPINK’s music video for their latest title track “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpassed 450 million views on YouTube, making it the fastest K-pop group music video in history to achieve the feat.
The group took just 137 days (4 months and 15 days) to reach the milestone, breaking the record previously held by BTS’s music video for “DNA.” Notably, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “DNA” are currently the only two K-pop group music videos ever to hit the 450 million mark on YouTube.
“DDU-DU DDU-DU” has been shattering YouTube records since its release on June 15. Earlier this month, the music video set a new record for the fastest K-pop group music video to surpass 400 million views. YouTube also previously confirmed that “DDU-DU DDU-DU” achieved the second highest number of views within the first 24 hours of its release out of all the music videos in YouTube history, bested only at the time by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.”
Congratulations to BLACKPINK on another impressive achievement!
