Jessi Candidly Shares Her Desire To Have Children
Jessi got honest about motherhood and marriage.
The rapper recently appeared as a guest on the October 31 broadcast of MBC’s “Radio Star,” where she candidly spoke about topics like people’s perceptions of her and defending HyunA on Instagram.
During the episode, Jessi also opened up about her desire to have children.
She explained, “I come from overseas, and I feel like when I see the Korean people around me, they think that you have to marry to have kids. It’s a little different in the United States. As for me, I want to be loved. Not the love of a man, but the love of a child. That’s why I will have a child even if I don’t marry.”
“I really love children,” Jessi added. “I’m also confident that I could raise them on my own.”
At the MCs’ questioning, she clarified, “Of course, I’m not saying that I’m going to just have kids. It’s a given that I would have to meet a good person first. The guy is definitely important.”
“If I’m going to have kids with this person but he turns out to have no qualifications of being a dad, always drinks, and I’m the only one putting in a lot of work, then it’s better to kick him to the curb,” Jessi clarified. “If the father ends up being a bad person, then I have confidence that I could take care of [my kids] even on my own.”
