CI ENT Acquires C9 Entertainment

C9 Entertainment has joined CI ENT.

On November 2, CI ENT revealed that it had acquired 100 percent stake in C9 Entertainment.

The agency stated, “With mutual trust, [CI ENT] has acquired 100 percent stake in C9 Entertainment. The two companies will collaboratively work together to effectively carry out our business ventures. We will combine a mutual, sturdy system and a wide network to take the lead with not only domestic contents, but also with Hallyu exports to jump towards becoming a combined entertainment company.”

Lee Jae Young of CI ENT will be heading both companies from now on, but they will be operating independently of each other, supporting the artists from their agencies without changing their company missions.

CI ENT houses Shinhwa’s Jun Jin, SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong and Kim Hyung Jun, Take’s Shin Seung Hee and Jang Seong Jae, Big Mama’s Lee Young Hyun, Choi Woo Ri, and other entertainers.

Notable artists and actors from C9 Entertainment include Younha, Jung Joon Young, Wanna One’s Bae Jin Young, Juniel, Drug Restaurant, Jacoby Planet, Good Day, Jung Gyu Woon, and Choi Byung Mo.
