Veteran Actor Shin Sung Il Passes Away After Battle With Cancer

On November 4, actor Shin Sung Il passed away at the age of 81 (Korean age).

The veteran actor was diagnosed last year with stage 3 lung cancer and had been undergoing chemotherapy.

Shin rose to fame in the 1960s with his debut film “Romantic Papa,” along with “Barefoot Youth,” “Winter Woman,” and many more. He was a legendary actor, having starred in over 500 films during his career.

The funeral will be held at Asan Medical Center in Seoul. He is survived by his wife, actress Um Aing Ran and three children.
