BTS And LOONA Win At 2018 MTV EMAs
BTS and LOONA were winners at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs)!
The 2018 MTV EMAs were held on November 4 (local time) at the Bilbao Exhibition Center in Spain. The awards ceremony celebrates the musical acts and music videos that drew the most popularity in Europe that year, with winners being determined by online fan votes.
This year’s winners included both BTS and LOONA. BTS took home both the 2018 MTV EMA Biggest Fans Award and the Best Group Award. For the Biggest Fans Award, BTS won over Camila Cabello, Selena Gomez, Shawn Mendes, and Taylor Swift. For Best Group, BTS beat out 5 Seconds of Summer and PRETTYMUCH to take home the prize.

This year’s Best Korean Act Award went to rookie group LOONA. They were nominated this year alongside WJSN (Cosmic Girls), (G)I-DLE, Golden Child, and PENTAGON. Previous winners of the Best Korean Act were EXO in 2013, B.A.P in 2014 and 2016, BTS in 2015, and GFRIEND in 2017.
