TWICE Wins Daesang For Best-Selling Artist Of The Year At 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards

TWICE won a Daesang (grand prize) at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards!

The award ceremony, which is in its first year, was held on the evening of November 6. TWICE took home three trophies in total, including the Daesang for Best-Selling Artist of the Year as well as the awards for Best Female Group and Best Global Performance.

When accepting the award for Best-Selling Artist of the Year, leader Jihyo expressed the group’s thanks for receiving such a great award at the ceremony’s first event, and thanked everyone at JYP who works hard for them. She added, “We’ve released many albums this year — thank you to the public for loving them all, and especially ONCE. There would never have been TWICE without ONCE.”

Chaeyoung also shared a message for her fellow members, encouraging them to keep it up even though they might feel tired as it’s now the end of the year, and expressing her thanks.
