The East Light's Former Producer Moon Young Il Summoned For Police Investigation
Producer Moon Young Il, who is under charges for using violence against The East Light’s members, will be summoned for a police investigation.
According to sources from Bangbae Police Station on November 8, producer Moon Young Il is currently being investigated on whether the assault actually happened. He will be asked to explain the details such as the time and the process of the violence.
Previously on October 22, Lee Seok Cheol and Lee Seung Hyun visited the Seoul District Police Station to file a complaint against producer Moon Young Il for chronic and special violence charges, CEO Kim Chang Hwan for abetting violence, and agency Media Line Entertainment and its president for violation of the Child Welfare Law charges.
The violence experienced by The East Light members was first reported on October 18. On October 19, the group’s leader Lee Seok Cheol held a press conference to confirm and reveal more details on the case. The agency confirmed the producer’s involvement while denying the charges of the CEO. Lee Seok Cheol moved on to refute the agency’s statement and shared further evidence on the case. Media Line Entertainment has since terminated contracts with all the members.
Lee Seok Cheol and Lee Seung Hyun already completed their questioning on October 26. In addition to Moon Young Il, but also Media Line Entertainment’s CEO Kim Chang Hwan and president Lee Jung Hyun will be investigated in order. The police revealed that there are no known plans yet to question the other four members of The East Light for reference testimonies.
Stay tuned for more updates on the case.
