BLACKPINK's Jennie Tops iTunes Charts All Over The World With "SOLO"

Fans around the world are showing love for BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s solo debut!

Jennie released her first solo track “SOLO” on November 12 at 6 p.m. KST. An hour into its release, the song topped MelOn followed by eight other domestic music charts by 11 p.m. KST.

The song saw success on international charts as well. On the morning of November 13 KST, “SOLO” achieved No. 1 on iTunes charts of 40 countries including Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Belarus, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Chile, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Macau, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.

The MV for “SOLO” also achieved 9.5 million views by November 13 at 9 a.m. KST and currently has about 11 million views at the time of publication.

“SOLO” was co-composed by Teddy and 24, with the lyrics written by Teddy. The beautiful chord at the beginning of the song followed by the honest lyrics and concise melodies are the focus points of this song.
