Dates And Details Announced For 33rd Golden Disc Awards

Details have been released for the 33rd Golden Disc Awards!

According to media outlet Sports Chosun, the ceremony will take place over two days on January 5-6 at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, which has a seating capacity of 20,000. The first day will honor those nominated for digital releases, while the second day will highlight accomplishments in physical album releases.

Known as the most prestigious and longest-running awards ceremony in Korea, the Golden Disc Awards have been celebrating artists and their achievements for 32 years since 1986. The winners of the prizes are determined by an executive committee’s evaluations and a screening system by industry specialists.

Last year, IU took home the Grand Prize (Daesang) for digital releases, while BTS won their first ever Golden Disc Awards Grand Prize for physical releases.
