Courts Rule In Favor Of Jun Hyosung In Lawsuit With TS Entertainment
The courts have ruled in favor of Jun Hyosung in her legal battle with TS Entertainment.
The two parties met at the Seoul Western District Court on November 14, and the judge ruled to confirm the invalidity of Jun Hyosung’s exclusive contract with TS Entertainment.
The ruling stated, “We confirm that the exclusive contract between Jun Hyosung and TS Entertainment holds no validity. The defendant (TS Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Jun Hyosung) approximately 130 million won (approximately $114,840) in remaining down payments and unpaid wages.” TS Entertainment will also have to cover 95 percent of legal fees, while Jun Hyosung pays five percent.
Earlier this year, Jun Hyosung revealed that she had departed from Secret and had filed the lawsuit to confirm the invalidity of her exclusive contract with TS Entertainment in September 2017. She stated that after receiving six million won (approximately $5,300) in 2015, she had not received any payments since.
With the court ruling in her favor, Jun Hyosung can now focus on her work with her new agency Tommy & Partners Entertainment. She celebrated the occasion with a post on her personal Instagram account that said, “Thanks God.”
