Wanna One Comments On Song Being Leaked And Concept Plagiarism Accusation

On November 19, Wanna One held a press conference for the release of their first studio album “1¹¹=1 (POWER OF DESTINY).”

During the event, the group was asked about recent issues surrounding their upcoming comeback.

Wanna One’s title track “Spring Breeze” was leaked via social media on November 14, and their agency revealed that action was being taken on the matter. In response to this, Ong Seong Woo shared, “We have not received any information on the song leak.”

Regarding accusations of their new album concept plagiarizing the musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” Yoon Ji Sung explained, “When Wanna One’s concept photos were being produced, Plato’s ‘Origin of Love’ was used as the motif. It seems that everyone has different points of view. We apologize for causing worry with an unfortunate issue.”

Wanna One’s new album “1¹¹=1 (POWER OF DESTINY)” is set to be released on November 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
