Pledis Entertainment To Take Legal Action Against Defamation Of Its Artists
Pledis Entertainment has announced that it will be taking strict legal action against defamation of its artists.
On November 20, the agency that houses artists including NU’EST, SEVENTEEN, and PRISTIN shared the notice on its website.
The statement reads as follows:
“Hello. This is Pledis Entertainment.
“First, we want to thank the fans who give lots of support and love to our agency’s artists.
“As previously announced on our official website, we will take strong legal action without exception against persistent, malicious slander and spread of false information about our artists.
“We want to inform you that we are in the process of preparing legal action and collecting data along with PDFs that fans have emailed us.
“In addition, we are letting you know that from the time of this announcement, there will be strong legal action taken towards those who recklessly write and spread malicious and slanderous posts online, offline, and on mobile platforms. There will be no exceptions for those who write and spread these posts, and we’ll be taking legal action with no settlements.
“Also, since some cases are under investigation, please be careful as to not become subject to legal ramifications out of curiosity. We would like to remind everyone once again that spreading false information and attaching links on mobile and other sites are crimes and can subject you to punishment.
“We thank everyone who loves our agency’s artists and promise you that we will do our best to protect the rights and interests of our artists through continuous monitoring and active countermeasures.
“We ask for your unchanging encouragement and support.
“Thank you.
