Watch: Park Bo Gum And Song Hye Kyo Are Destined To Be Together In "Encounter" Highlight Reel

tvN’s new romance drama “Encounter” has released a highlight reel.

The upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama is about Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo), a conglomerate heir divorcee and politician’s daughter who has never once lived for herself, Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), a free-spirited individual who lives a simple life, and how their coincidental meeting jumpstarts a romantic tale.

At the beginning of the video, Cha Soo Hyun is introduced as her politician father’s perfect daughter. She says in the background, “Until when do I have to keep this up?” Everywhere she goes, she is surrounded by the flashing lights of cameras.

Jin Hyuk’s introduction is more light-hearted as he sits outside with his friends enjoying a meal. He finds joy in the little things, like perusing books at a library or just people-watching as he rides the city bus. Although he lives a happy life, he works at different part-time jobs to support his parents who work at a neighborhood supermarket.

In the next scene, Jin Hyuk and Soo Hyun’s fated encounter begins as Soo Hyun asks him, “Do you have some money?” With a smile, Jin Hyuk asks, “How much do you need?” The two then spend the day together in Cuba. Jin Hyuk thanks her for helping him enjoy this vacation in his 20s, and Soo Hyun insists on getting his contact number so she can pay him back once they’re back in Korea.

However, once Soo Hyun returns to Korea, her magical life in Cuba is just a distant memory. She’s seen talking to her divorced husband Jung Woo Suk (played by Jang Seung Jo) as he says, “You and I, we’ve never lived the life we wanted to. Have we?” Jin Hyuk also looks more mature as he shifts through photography films from his past Cuba trip.
