Jung Il Woo Gets Discharged From Military + Reveals Future Plans

Jung Il Woo is back from the military!

According to HB Entertainment, the actor was officially discharged from the military on November 30 at 12 p.m. KST.

Jung Il Woo quietly entered the military on December 7, 2016. Previously, he was declared a public service worker due to a car accident in 2006 that gravely injured his wrist, hip, and more. Despite being diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm he fulfilled his military duty without requesting a reexamination.

The actor plans to return to the small screen soon. He was cast in a historical drama titled “Haechi,” a fusion sageuk drama inspired by the myth of Haechi, a guardian of justice. It tells the story of a prince with a commoner mother who teams up with a ragtag band of people to stake his claim to the throne.

Jung Il Woo has been cast as Prince Yeoning. Starring Go Ara and Kwon Yool as well, it will premiere in February of next year.
