San E And Brand New Music Terminate Contract
On December 6, Brand New Music announced that San E’s exclusive contract with the agency has come to an end.
The agency stated, “After discussion with San E, it was mutually agreed upon to terminate his exclusive contract.” They also expressed their thanks to San E and his fans.
San E has been embroiled in controversy since he released the song “Feminist” last month, in which he said he supports women but doesn’t understand the arguments of feminists today. Brand New Music clarified at the time that they had not been aware of the song. Rappers including SLEEQ and Jerry.K fired back at San E’s lyrics with diss tracks. San E later posted an explanation of the song in which he stated that he was not the narrator.
At a Brand New Music concert earlier this week, the controversy was reignited when San E lashed out at critics in the audience, and Brand New Music issued an apology for the incident. San E also recently released a new track titled “Oong Ang Oong” aimed at his critics.
