CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa Makes Donation In Support Of Children With Disabilities

CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa has made a thoughtful donation.

To celebrate this year’s International Day of Disabled Persons on December 3, Jung Yong Hwa made a donation of 50 million won (approximately $44,620) to the Miral Welfare Foundation and asked that it be used towards children with disabilities.

In accordance with his request, the donation will be used towards medical bills and living expenses for children with disabilities from low-income families.

The Miral Welfare Foundation operates 46 facilities and seven branch offices for the disabled and elderly communities. It also carries out international cooperation projects in 18 countries to provide child care, health care, and emergency relief.

Jung Yong Hwa has consistently donated and volunteered to help those in need in Korea and abroad. In 2014, the singer-actor donated all of the profits from his self-produced track “Star, You” and has also taken part in philanthropic activities with his fan club.

Jung Yong Hwa is currently serving in the military as an active duty soldier in the 702nd Special Assault Regiment. He enlisted on March 5, 2018 and will be discharged on December 4, 2019.
