JTBC To Remake American Television Series 'Younger'

JTBC has confirmed they will be making a Korean version of the U.S. series “Younger”!

“Younger” tells the story of a single mother in her forties who pretends to be a younger woman in her twenties in order to secure a job after an unexpected divorce. The series premiered in 2015 and has enjoyed five seasons since.

In the U.S. series, Hilary Duff plays the role of book editor Kelsey, and the show was created by Darren Star, who also created the hit series “Sex and the City.”

A source from JTBC stated, “We have made the decision to do a remake of the series because we were drawn to the show’s strong female character and great storyline. We will do our best to captivate viewers by creating a good Korean remake that also reflects today’s society in Korea.”

JTBC’s remake of “Younger” has set a goal of being broadcasted in 2020.
