NCT 127 Sets Record For Fastest K-Pop Boy Group To Top Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart
NCT 127 has reached a new Billboard milestone in record time!
On December 10 local time, Billboard announced that NCT 127’s latest title track “Simon Says” had debuted at No. 1 on its World Digital Song Sales chart.
NCT 127 is only the fourth Korean boy group to hit No. 1 on the chart, joining the exclusive ranks of BIGBANG, BTS, and EXO. The group also managed to achieve the feat just 2 years and 5 months after their debut in 2016, making them the fastest Korean male idol group to top the chart in Billboard history.
In addition to “Simon Says,” NCT 127 managed to land another new song in the top 10 of the World Digital Song Sales chart this week; “Welcome to My Playground,” one of the B-side tracks from their new repackaged album “NCT #127 Regulate,” debuted at No. 7.
NCT 127 also recently made their debut on Billboard’s famous Top 200 Albums chart with their first studio album “Regular,” which entered the chart at No. 86 in October.
Congratulations to NCT 127 on their impressive achievement!
