Agency Of B1A4's Jinyoung Speaks Out Against Changes To Search Results

LINK8 Entertainment, the agency that houses B1A4’s Jinyoung, has spoken out about changes to the way search results are presented for the artist.

On December 18, LINK8 posted the following notice on Twitter in English:

“Jinyoung has been expelled from Searching engine’s searching results. You can’t access his Talk and Timelines as the way you used to. Yes, we may be small company to cover up this situation. But we promise you, sooner or later, we’ll find a way, we always have.

“We are never small company because of all of you and the dreams to realize with our artist. This is the reason why we here stand for you and Jinyoung. Sorry, no hash tags for tonight.”

When users search for a celebrity on Naver’s official app, many stars’ search results will include a “Talk” section with comments by users and a “Timeline” that shows the celebrity’s latest news through photos organized by date. In Jinyoung’s case, users must currently click on “See more of profile” in the search results to access these sections.

Previously on December 5, LINK8 tweeted to explain that the search results for “Jinyoung” on Naver had changed. They stated that they had made an inquiry to Naver and been told that changing them would currently be difficult.

After B1A4’s Jinyoung and Baro left WM Entertainment in June, Jinyoung signed with the new agency LINK8 Entertainment as its first artist. Jinyoung stars in the upcoming film “Him,” the web drama “Wind-Bell” with AOA’s Mina, and the 2019 drama “Because It’s My First Love” (literal title) along with Ji Soo and DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon. Jinyoung also shared his self-produced song “You Are” for fans in November on his birthday.
