Uhm Tae Woong Signs New Contract With Agency + Plans To Return To Acting Soon
Uhm Tae Woong has signed a new contract with Huayi Brothers Korea.
On December 24, a source from the agency told Dong-A Ilbo, “We recently signed an exclusive contract with Uhm Tae Woong. We had ties from our past and decided to work hard together in the present. He is currently reviewing projects for his comeback to acting.”
Uhm Tae Woong had previously worked with Shim Entertainment, Huayi Brothers Korea’s predecessor, for 11 years.
Other actors under Huayi Brothers Korea include Kim Yun Seok, Yoo Hae Jin, Joo Won, Lee Si Young, Joo Jin Mo, Kim Ok Bin, Lee Da Hee, Choi Tae Joon, Song Sae Byuk, and Lee Dong Hwi. The company also produces dramas and movies in addition to their actor management division.
Uhm Tae Woong last appeared in the movie “Fork Lane” that premiered last July. That movie marked his first return to acting after his controversy in 2016. He was initially accused of sexual assault, but during the course of the investigation, Uhm Tae Woong was charged and fined for solicitation of prostitution instead and his accuser was charged and sentenced for making false accusations.
