Wanna One Posts Sweet Message To Fans After Official End Of Contract On New Year's Eve
Just over a year after their debut in August 2017, Wanna One’s contract with Swing Entertainment officially ended on December 31, 2018, although Swing will still be managing the group through Wanna One’s final concert series coming up in January 2019.
Regardless of their official contract status, however, the group said Wanna One is forever.
In a bittersweet message posted to their official Twitter on December 31, Wanna One said:
[#WannaOneDay] They say first loves never come true, but Wanna One and Wannables met like a miracle, became each other’s first love, and had a beautiful relationship. Those vivid moments that only Wanna One and Wannables know, we will never forget. We hope all Wannables have a happy 2019. #Forever_WannaOne #Always_WannaOne

The group concluded their official broadcast schedule with a performance of TVXQ’s “Rising Sun” at MBC Gayo Daejejun on December 31.
Wanna One said on Twitter, “We hope Wanna One’s amazing cover of TVXQ will be a gift that Wannables will never forget.”

The members of Wanna One, who had promoted under Swing Entertainment, will return to their original agencies starting January 1, 2019.
Wanna One’s final concert series, “Therefore,” will be held on January 24 through 27 at Gocheok Sky Dome.
