GFRIEND's Yuju To Sit Out Filming Of "2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships" Due To Health Concerns

GFRIEND’s Yuju will not be able to participate in the Lunar New Year special of “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships – New Year Special.”

On January 7, GFRIEND’s agency Source Music took to their staff account on Twitter to state, “GFRIEND member Yuju will not be able to participate in the ‘2019 Idol Star Athletics Championship’ filming which will take place today due to being diagnosed with influenza. We ask for your understanding of the situation, and we can confirm that the other five members will be participating in the filming as scheduled.”

Filming for “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships” is taking place on January 7 at the Samsan World Gymnasium in Incheon and GFRIEND is scheduled to participate in the show’s archery competitions. Other categories include track and field, bowling, rhythmic gymnastics, and penalty shootouts.

GFRIEND is set to make their comeback on January 14 with their second album “Time For Us.” We hope that Yuju is able to get plenty and make a full recovery in time for the group’s comeback!
