BTS Takes No. 2 Spot On List Of Top Artists Based On U.S. Album Sales In 2018
BTS’s amazing success in 2018 has been shown once again in new data from BuzzAngle!
In BuzzAngle Music’s 2018 Year-End Report on U.S. music consumption, BTS takes No. 2 on the list of Top Artists by Album Sales with 603,307 album sales. The group follows only Eminem, who tops the list with 755,027 album sales.
BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” comes in No. 14 on the list of Top Albums by Sales with 212,953 album sales, and “Love Yourself: Answer” takes No. 18 with 199,865 album sales. Both of these two 2018 releases from BTS earned them the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
The group takes the No. 15 spot on the list of Top Artists by Total Consumption. They garnered 1,521,021 “total project units,” which is composed of 603,307 album sales, 1,122,268 song sales, and 1,208,230,220 on-demand audio streams. The “total project units” that reflect total album consumption are the sum of album sales, song sales (with 10 equal to one album sale) and on-demand audio streams (with 1,500 equal to one album sale).
