Roh Tae Hyun Talks About Making Solo Debut And Plans For HOTSHOT
On January 23, Roh Tae Hyun held a showcase for his solo album “biRTHday,” where he performed his new tracks and shared his thoughts about “Produce 101 Season 2” and HOTSHOT.
He said, “I hesitated a lot about appearing on ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ because I wasn’t sure if it was the right thing for me. Thankfully, I now feel that a lot of people are watching me after ‘Produce 101,’ JBJ, and HOTSHOT.”
Regarding his solo album, he revealed, “I thought about whether it’s right for me to release a solo album, but I decided to do so because I realized that many people are looking forward to it. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m going to work hard with the mind that it won’t hurt to try new things.”
Fellow member Ha Sung Woon will go back to HOTSHOT following his last promotions with Wanna One at their concert on January 27. Ahead of HOTSHOT’s return, Ha Sung Woon will also release his own solo album on January 28, meaning that two HOTSHOT members will be debuting as solo artists this month.
“HOTSHOT wasn’t extremely popular in the beginning, but we’ve all grown through each of our experiences. I feel like I’ve also grown while watching the other trainees and JBJ members work hard and do well. I think it’s important to make myself known using what I learned from those experiences,” Roh Tae Hyun explained, adding, “There are probably many people who are looking forward to seeing HOTSHOT as a complete group. All of our members including Ha Sung Woon and myself want to start off by doing what our fans want most, and many of our fans wanted to see me as a solo artist.”
He also expressed his love for HOTSHOT’s fans as he said, “Our fans are especially dear to us because we weren’t popular in the beginning. Whether it’s as a group or as a solo artist, I want to show our fans what they want. I will work hard on promotions without giving up on anything in the process.”
