Creator Of Kakao Friends's Ryan Reportedly Working On BTS Characters

Seoul Economic Daily reported that Chun Hye Rim, the creator of the famous Kakao Friends character Ryan, has joined Big Hit Entertainment. She is expected to be in charge of Big Hit’s character business for BTS and their junior artists.

Big Hit launched their character business by creating the BT21 characters in 2017. These characters are representations of the BTS members, for which the members directly participated in creating the characters. They have collaborated with LINE FRIENDS and are currently selling various merchandise related to BT21.

On January 17, Chun Hye Rim participated in a lecture about the character business and revealed the reason for joining an entertainment agency. She said, “I have had many experiences in different fields such as animation, film, and web portals. I wanted to challenge myself in a new field.”
