"SKY Castle" Breaks Its Own Record For Highest Ratings In Cable Network History
JTBC’s “SKY Castle” has done it again!
Just one week after making cable network history, “SKY Castle” has outperformed itself once again. Last week, the hit drama surpassed the record set by tvN’s “Goblin” in 2017 to achieve the highest viewership ratings in the history of any Korean cable network, including both dramas and non-drama programs.
On January 26, “SKY Castle” broke its own previous record of 22.3 percent (set by its January 19 episode) and set a new record for the highest viewership ratings in cable network history. According to Nielsen Korea, the penultimate episode of the drama scored an average rating of 23.2 percent nationwide.
“SKY Castle” is a satirical, black-comedy drama that follows an elite group of privileged and ambitious women as they strive to further the careers of their husbands and ensure the success of their children—at any cost necessary.
The drama’s highly-anticipated finale is currently scheduled to air on February 1 at 11 p.m. KST. “SKY Castle” will also soon be available with English subtitles on Viki.
Congratulations to the drama’s cast and crew!
