Goo Hara's Contract With Agency Expires
Goo Hara has parted ways with her former agency Content Y.
On February 1, Content Y stated, “Our exclusive contract with Goo Hara expired at the end of January. The contract is not being renewed.”
Goo Hara previously signed an exclusive contract with KeyEast in January of 2016 and had been actively promoting under Content Y, a subsidiary of KeyEast, since 2017.
Goo Hara is currently involved in an assault case with her ex-boyfriend, Choi Jong Bum. On January 30, Choi Jong Bum was indicted without detention after being charged with causing injury to Goo Hara’s arms and legs during a fight on September 13 around 1 a.m. and for threatening to leak a sex video.
Although the prosecution acknowledged the fact that Goo Hara had caused bodily harm to Choi Jong Bum, they considered both the fact that Choi Jong Bum instigated the physical altercation as well as the situation after the crime and offered her leniency with a suspension of indictment.
