TV Schedule Changes Due To Lunar New Year Holidays
The Lunar New Year (also known as the Chinese New Year), which officially kicks off the Year of the Pig, takes place on February 5.
As people get ready for the celebrations, many TV broadcasters are changing their schedule to fit the holiday season.
Sunday, February 3
JTBC will be airing the film “The Swindlers” in the evening.
Monday, February 4
JTBC will be airing a special documentary on the cities of Sokcho and Wonsan in the evening, reruns of “SKY Castle” in the morning, a special preview of their upcoming drama “The Light in Your Eyes,” and the final episode of “Clean with Passion for Now.”
Episodes 13 and 14 of KBS’s “My Lawyer, Mr. Joe 2” will not be airing on this day and be pushed back to February 11.
Tuesday, February 5
JTBC will be broadcasting the film “Fengshui” in the evening and reruns of “SKY Castle” in the morning.
SBS’s “Night of Real Entertainment” will be pushed back until February 12. Instead, SBS will air the movie “Along with the Gods.”
Episodes 15 and 16 of KBS’s “My Lawyer, Mr. Joe 2” will not be airing on this day and be pushed back to February 12.
Wednesday, February 6
JTBC will be airing the horror film “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum” in the evening and reruns of “SKY Castle” in the morning.
Episodes 9 and 10 of MBC’s “Spring Turns to Spring” will be pushed back to February 7. Instead, MBC will air the film “1987.”
Episodes 43 and 44 of SBS’s “The Last Empress” will be pushed back to February 7. Instead, SBS will air the film “On Your Wedding Day.”
Saturday, February 9
MBC’s “Music Core” will not air this week and will be replaced by a rerun of the “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships.”
Sunday, February 10
SBS’s “Inkigayo” will not air this week and will be replaced by sports broadcasting.
