Ryu Jun Yeol And Gong Hyo Jin's New Film 'Hit-And-Run Squad' Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers In 6 Days

The new film “Hit-and-Run Squad” is off to a strong start!

As of 7:30 a.m. KST on February 4, just five days after its premiere, “Hit-and-Run Squad” officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers at the Korean box office. The action movie was released on January 30, meaning that it took “Hit-and-Run Squad” just six days to reach the milestone.

Industry insiders have taken note of the fact that Hyun Bin‘s hit 2017 film “Confidential Assignment,” which ultimately drew an impressive total of 7,817,459 moviegoers over its run, fared similarly at the box office two years ago. “Confidential Assignment,” which also opened just in time for the Lunar New Year vacation, took five days to surpass 1 million moviegoers.

“Hit-and-Run Squad” stars Ryu Jun Yeol and Gong Hyo Jin as members of a hit-and-run police task force who must chase down an uncontrollable speedster (played by Jo Jung Suk).

In order to commemorate the occasion, the film’s three stars gathered with director Han Joon Hee to pose for a cute group photo that celebrated reaching the 1 million mark.

Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
