"SKY Castle" Star Park Yoo Na Says ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo Was A Famous Student At Their High School
In a recent interview, Park Yoo Na talked about her experience going to high school together with ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.
The actress, who played the role of Cha Se Ri in the hit JTBC drama “SKY Castle,” sat down to talk about her career with media outlet Newsen.
“I was originally an idol trainee,” revealed Park Yoo Na. “So when I first received an offer to try acting, it sounded like [a world] that was very far away. At first, I was really scared. But after I made my debut in the drama ‘Sassy Go Go,’ I gradually became more and more interested in pursuing acting.”
When asked if she had any regrets about not becoming a singer, Park Yoo Na replied, “At first, I did have some [regrets]. But now, I have none at all. I’m enjoying acting too much.”
Park Yoo Na later went on to talk about her high school classmate Cha Eun Woo, with whom she appeared together in the popular drama “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” last year.
The two stars both attended Hanlim Multi Art School, and they even appeared together on KBS’s “Golden Bell Challenge”—a quiz program in which high school students compete to become the final winner—before their respective debuts.
When asked whether she had known Cha Eun Woo during their time at school, Park Yoo Na replied, “I knew who Cha Eun Woo was. Even during his trainee days, he was famous for being handsome.”
She went on with a laugh, “I knew him, but it turns out that he didn’t know me. I told him later on, ‘I also went to Hanlim Multi Art School.'”
“I was a practical dance major, and he was a broadcasting and entertainment major,” added the actress. “[It was a large school] with 40 students in each class, so it wasn’t easy for everyone to know each other.”
Both “SKY Castle” and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty” will soon be available with English subtitles on Viki.
