Lyricist Kim Eana Talks About Coincidental First Encounter With Kang Daniel

Kim Eana talked about her first encounter with Kang Daniel.

The lyricist guested on the January 5 episode of MBC every1’s “Video Star,” where she talked about her first encounter with the former Wanna One member.

Kim Eana shared, “It was around the end of last year. There’s a raw beef bibimbap restaurant that I go to often. I finished eating and came out of the restaurant. You know how you can see someone even if they’re not in your direct line of sight, through your peripheral? I saw Kang Daniel [on my left].”

She continued, “He came towards me with his manager. Then he suddenly shook my hand, saying he came because he wanted to say hello. He gave me a 90-degree bow, so I gave him a 110-degree bow,” making everyone laugh. She joked, “I couldn’t see his face because we were bowed over.”

The show then revealed dark and blurry footage of the encounter filmed from a moving car which she had shared. Embarrassed, Kim Eana remarked, “Looking at it like this, it’s kind of pathetic. I know it’s pathetic, but I ended up saving [the footage].”

Kim Eana left a light and funny video message for Kang Daniel saying, “Hello, Kang Daniel. I didn’t know I was such a pathetic person. I thought I would laugh off this video and just delete it, but I saved it without even realizing.” She continued, “Thank you for saying hello. It was an honor.”

“Video Star” airs every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. KST.
