Lee Se Young Shares Funny Story From Kiss Scene With Yeo Jin Goo In "The Crowned Clown"
On a special behind-the-scenes special episode for tvN’s “The Crowned Clown” aired on February 5, Yeo Jin Goo, Lee Se Young, and Kim Sang Kyung shared stories from the drama set.
Yeo Jin Goo prefaced Lee Se Young’s story about their kiss scene in the library, saying that the staff and actors call filming in the library “Library Hell.”
“It’s really difficult to film in the library,” said Yeo Jin Goo. “As you can see, you have to film through the shelves at times, and every time they shoot from a new camera angle, they need to move the bookshelves.”
Watching the kiss, Lee Se Young said, “Finding [Yeo Jin Goo’s] lips here was really hard.”
She explained, “I closed my eyes too soon. The final take for the scene was the first time I closed my eyes a bit later. Before that, I went in with my eyes closed way before, so every time I thought, ‘I must be close,’ I still had a long way to go.”
When the host said the scene was really pretty, the cast talked about how the position is actually really uncomfortable. The host joked, “If the same kiss were in a present-day drama, it would be a little ugly, but because it’s the Joseon era, the hanbok covers everything up.”
