Bang Shi Hyuk Makes Billboard's List Of 25 Top Innovators
Billboard has revealed its list of top innovators in the music scene.
On February 7 local time, Billboard released its “Meet Music’s New Power Generation: 25 Top Innovators” list. On its website, the media brand describes 25 of those on the list as “disrupters who will define the future of the business.”
Big Hit Entertainment executive producer and CEO Bang Shi Hyuk made the list for being the man behind BTS’s phenomenal success. The magazine highlights Bang Shi Hyuk’s collaborative efforts with BTS as to why the group was able to become global pop stars, citing their Time Magazine cover, two No. 1s on the Billboard 200, and their sold-out U.S. stadium show at Citi Field in New York.
The producer commented that there was no “specific strategy dedicated to making a global pop group” and that he used a “collaborative process.” He also stated that he had promised the BTS members from the very beginning that “BTS’s music must come from their own stories.”
Bang Shi Hyuk was previously recognized for being a leader who influenced the international music industry when Billboard released its “73 International Power Players” list in May of 2018.
Congratulations to Bang Shi Hyuk!
