Watch: Park Jin Young Releases Touching MV Dedicated To His Father For Song Written For His Daughter
Park Jin Young, the founder of JYP Entertainment, has released a music video for “This Small Hand,” the song he wrote for his newborn daughter!
In January, Park Jin Young announced the birth of his first child and celebrated the occasion with a song he wrote just for her. The song’s lyrics talk about being there for his daughter to hold her hand no matter what.
Now, Park Jin Young has shared a sweet music video for the song. He explained through a letter at the beginning of the music video, as well as on his personal Instagram account, “While recording the song, I burst out in tears because I realized all the things I wrote for my baby was give to me by my parents. I called my mom and thanked her but I couldn’t with my dad because he’s in the late stages of Alzheimer’s disease and can’t recognize me anymore.”
He went on to share a story about a special moment he and his father shared recently, and dedicated the music video to his father. At the end of the music video, he explained all that proceeds from the song will go towards helping children born in a difficult environment.
