Kang Ha Neul And Gong Hyo Jin In Talks To Unite For New Drama
Kang Ha Neul is working on selecting his first project to follow his upcoming military discharge in May!
On February 18, it was reported that the actor will be starring in the KBS drama “When the Camellia Blooms” (literal title).
In response to the reports, his agency SEM Company commented, “Kang Ha Neul has received the offer to star in ‘When the Camellia Blooms’ and is currently reviewing it. It is not confirmed.”
“When the Camellia Blooms” is a romantic thriller comedy written by Im Sang Choon, who previously created “Fight My Way,” and directed by Cha Young Hoon of “Are You Human, Too?” and “Uncontrollably Fond.”
It was revealed in September of last year that Gong Hyo Jin is in talks to play the female lead Dong Baek, which means camellia in Korean. Kang Ha Neul has received the offer to play Yong Shik, who is a neighborhood policeman in love with Dong Baek. He is a guy from the countryside who is simple, honest, and naive but also has some sexiness.
“When the Camellia Blooms” is scheduled to air in the second half of 2019.
