AOA's Seolhyun Joins Yang Se Jong And Woo Do Hwan In New Historical Drama
AOA’s Seolhyun is returning to the small screen!
According to FNC Entertainment, Seolhyun has been confirmed to star in JTBC’s upcoming drama “My Country” (literal title). This will be her first drama in four years since she appeared in “Orange Marmalade” in 2015.
“My Country” is a historical action drama that takes place between the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty. The drama follows conflicts that arise due to the desire for power and protection.
Seolhyun will take on the role of Han Hee Jae, an intelligent and progressive woman who has become disillusioned by the amount of corruption and filth that is piling up in the country. She fatefully meets Seo Hwi (Yang Seo Jong) and Nam Sun Ho (Woo Do Hwan), and the three try to protect love throughout the chaotic time period.
“My Country” is directed by producing director Kim Jin Won of “The Innocent Man,” “I Remember You,” and “Just Between Lovers,” and it is written by writer Chae Seung Dae of “Inspiring Generation” and “Master: God of Noodles.”
The drama is set to premiere in the second half of this year.
