BTS Kicks Off ARMYPEDIA Project + Reveals 1st Puzzle Piece
BTS’s ambitious new ARMYPEDIA project has officially begun!
Earlier this week, BTS announced plans to launch a new global project that would chronicle the 2,080 days of the group’s career (starting from their debut on June 13, 2013 up until February 21, 2019—the day that the ARMYPEDIA website went live).
For each of the 2,080 days archived by ARMYPEDIA, every fan will have the opportunity to post a memory about BTS related to that specific date. However, in order to “unlock” a date in BTS’s history, fans will first need to find the corresponding puzzle piece.
Big Hit Entertainment previously revealed that there are 2,080 puzzle pieces hidden all over the world—both online and offline—for fans to discover. Once a fan has found a puzzle piece, scanned its QR code, and successfully answered a quiz question about BTS, the corresponding date will be “unlocked,” and any ARMY across the globe will be able to post a memory related to that date.
On February 25, the first day of the new ARMYPEDIA project, BTS kicked things off by sharing the first puzzle piece on ARMYPEDIA’s official Twitter account. The post asks, “Hey, ARMY! Are you ready?” and hints that the first phase of the project will chronicle the period of time starting from June 13, 2013 to April 28, 2015.
The first puzzle piece, which corresponds to the date of BTS’s debut, teasingly reads, “Hey, ARMY! Lost this?”
