Moon Geun Young In Talks To Star In A Drama For The First Time In 4 Years
Moon Geun Young is preparing to return to the small screen for the first time in four years!
On February 27, news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Moon Geun Young will be appearing in tvN’s upcoming drama “Catch the Ghost” as the main character Yoo Ryung, who joins the Wangsimni subway station constabulary as a rookie detective to find her missing autistic twin sibling with her pseudo-psychic spatial perception abilities.
A source from her agency Namoo Actors stated, “It is true that Moon Geung Young has received an offer for ‘Catch the Ghost.’ We are currently looking over it.”
In February 2017, Moon Geung Young was diagnosed with Acute Compartment Syndrome and took a break from activities after surgery. After recovering fully last year, she began appearing on several variety shows such as MBC’s “Those Who Cross the Line.”
If she decides to take on this drama, she will be appearing in her first drama in four years since “The Village Achiara’s Secret” in 2015.
“Catch the Ghost” is a romantic investigative drama about a woman named Yoo Ryung who solves cases with her overflowing sense of justice and exceptional spatial perception but always gets herself into trouble because of her rash actions. She meets the Wangsimni station constabulary chief, a man who avoids cases and seeks stability. However, he always ends up cleaning up after the problems caused by Yoo Ryung and holds the key to the solving the cases. The drama will be directed by producing director (PD) Shin Yoon Seob of “Rooftop Prince” and “Please Come Back, Mister” and penned by writers So Won and Lee Young Joo.
