MONSTA X Shares Excitement For Upcoming Performance At iHeart Radio Music Festival
MONSTA X appeared on SBS Power FM’s “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time” on March 1 and expressed excitement about their upcoming performance at the iHeart Radio Music Festival!
The iHeart Radio Music Festival will take place in September in Las Vegas and it was recently announced that MONSTA X will be the first K-pop group to perform at the event. When asked how they felt about the event, the members said, “It’s an honor to be going to the event as the representative of Korea. Opportunities like this aren’t easy to come by and as our team will be representing our country, we will a sense of responsibility.”
This isn’t the first time MONSTA X paved the way, as they were also the first K-pop group to be a part of iHeart Radio’s Jingle Ball tour. They said, “At the time, a reporter told us that we were at the tour to represent Asia. In that moment, we felt so much pride and it made us feel even more determined to do well.”
MONSTA X also talked about their collaboration with DJ and producer Steve Aoki, and when asked if there were any other artists they’d like to work with, the members replied, “We were able to work with Steve Aoki because he was interested in us, and now that we’ve worked together on a song on our album, we’d like to do another collaboration with him for one of his future albums.”
MONSTA X recently released their second album and is currently busy with promotional activities for their title track “Alligator.” Wonho was unable to appear on the radio show as he is currently resting after being taken to the hospital for abdominal pain.
