Watch: 2PM's Junho And Yoo Jae Myung Argue About Morality In Law In Teasers For "Confession"
Upcoming tvN drama “Confession” have released more suspenseful teasers ahead of its premiere!
“Confession” is about people who are trying to uncover veiled truths that are hidden behind the law of double jeopardy. Choi Do Hyun (played by 2PM’s Junho) is a lawyer who pursued his career in the hopes of saving his father, who is found guilty of murder, from the death penalty and prove his innocence. Ki Choon Ho (played by Yoo Jae Myung) is a former detective who is attempting to discover the actual truth behind a verdict from five years earlier.
A spliced voiceover in the previous teaser ominously brought up the law of double jeopardy.
In one of the new teaser clips, Junho quickly walks through a warehouse while similarly saying on the phone, “‘A case that has been decided cannot be reopened.’ This is the law of double jeopardy. That is the law, and that is reality.” At the very end, he addresses Yoo Jae Myung face-to-face and says, “This is why rulings are more important than the truth.”
The second clip features Yoo Jae Myung driving angrily and arguing back, “If the real criminal is found not guilty because of that so-called law, then that means they’ll be ‘not guilty’ forever.” After he arrives at his destination and faces Junho in person, he declares, “That is why you have to catch the real criminal.”
Both teasers also feature glimpses of an investigation and court proceedings related to an unspecified case.
“Confession” will premiere on March 23 at 9 p.m. KST.
