Korea Entertainment Producer's Association Comments On Conflict Between Kang Daniel And Agency
The Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association (hereafter KEPA) has released an official statement regarding the conflict between Kang Daniel and his agency LM Entertainment.
KEPA is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and is composed of 408 companies of the entertainment industry that are specialized in music, performance, and management.
The association released the following statement:
Hello. This is the Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association.
We are releasing an official statement as there are continuous reports regarding the conflict between LM Entertainment and Kang Daniel that contain room for misunderstanding.
The Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association follows the principle of not intervening hastily when an agency and artist are working on coming to an agreement.
If both parties officially request mediation, the association can provide assistance for peaceful settlement. However, in this current situation, the most that the association can do is to just watch for both parties to make a peaceful settlement.
The association has concern about this conflict leading to legal action, and if both parties officially request mediation, we will mediate so that an agreement can be made and will provide support so the agency and artist can continue activities.
Thank you.
Earlier in the day, it was revealed that Kang Daniel has appointed a lawyer to defend him in the conflict with his agency LM Entertainment.
