IU's Upcoming Film "Persona" To Premiere On Netflix In April
IU’s first film “Persona” will air as a Netflix Original.
“Persona” is a short film project that features four different directors (Im Pil Sung, Lee Kyung Mi, Kim Jong Kwan, and Jeon Go Woon), who each use various themes and concepts to tell the main character’s story in a different way. The project is produced by Mystic Entertainment.
IU began her acting career in the 2011 drama “Dream High” and has built up her filmography with projects like “THE Producers,” “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo,” and “My Ahjussi.” Apart from a cameo in 2017’s “Real” and a voice role in the Korean dub of an animated movie, “Persona” is IU’s first film project.
Im Pil Sung, who is known to be a superstar in the short film world, titled his story about a young woman “Not to Rot, But to Go On Forever.”
Lee Kyung Mi, who is known for her unique direction and strong talent, titled her story “Love Set,” about two women giving it their all on the tennis court.
Kim Jong Kwan, who is known for capturing the aesthetics of everyday life, titled his story “Walking the Night,” about a man and a woman who meet in their dreams and share what they couldn’t say in the daytime.
Jeon Go Woon, who won the rookie director award for the 2018 film “Little Princess,” titled her story “Kissing Is a Sin,” about the revenge story of young girls.
“Persona” will be available on Netflix in April.
